Zephyr chandelier installation

george-singer-onformative

Onformative asked us to simulate the particles for this large-scale chandelier installation. A project that does not come along each day. It was a total honor to participate in this project.

We used Cinema 4D and X-Particles to develop several particle streams for this installation. Christopher Wolters introduced us to X-Particles and shortly after the first Tutorial this task was popping up.

Onformative developed the tool Inspired by the natural beauty of the coastline at St. Andrew’s Bay in Scotland »Zephyr« is a breathtaking 60-meter installation spanning the atrium of the 5-star Fairmont Hotel. Composed of over 20.000 steel-coated disks and installed on the ceiling with 280 cables the chandelier is the largest of its kind.
